A vaginal yeast infection is a common condition that can cause itching, burning, and thick, white discharge from the vagina. It is caused by an overgrowth of yeast, which is a type of fungus that naturally lives in the vagina. If you are female and not pregnant, your pharmacist may be able to prescribe an antifungal to treat your yeast infection. If you are pregnant or less than 12 years old please visit your doctor.
