-Dermatitis is a general term for inflammation of the skin. You may experience some of the symptoms below: -Dry, red, and itchy skin -Cracked and oozed blisters -Darker or lighter patches of skin -Scaly and patchy skin -Other symptoms of dermatitis include flaking or peeling skin and cracking or scaling skin. -It can be caused by a number of different factors, including allergic reactions, irritants, and other skin conditions. ❌ Sometimes hives occur as part of a more serious allergic reaction. ❌Go to emergency if you are experiencing any symptoms of a serious reaction such as: • Difficulty breathing or wheezing • Swelling of face, mouth or throat • Feeling dizzy or lightheaded, or fainting • Skin that is cool, moist, and unusually pale -Pharmacists can now assess and prescribe medications to treat Skin Irritation "Dermatitis". -This is not to replace physicians, but it will help to reduce workload and wait times to see a doctor for major ailments. -This service is covered by OHIP = Ontario health card (Do not have a health card? There is a fee for that service). -Please book an appointment online. -Appointment options will be in person, virtually, over the phone. -Please note, registering for this service does not guarantee a prescription. -Your pharmacist will assess if they can prescribe a treatment option or if a referral to a physician may be necessary.
