👁 -Conjunctivitis, or pink eye, is a general term that refers to irritation or infection of your eye. 👁-Pink eye can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or allergies. 👁-Symptoms vary depending on the cause of pink eye. 👁 -You may experience some of the symptoms below: -Eye redness (Red/pink colour). -Mild scratching, itching, or burning sensation -Bright lights hurt your eyes -Watering - Appearance of sticky or watery fluids from the eye -Sometimes discharge may form a crust on eyelashes overnight. -Difficulty opening eyes in the morning -Pharmacists can now assess and prescribe medications to treat Pink Eye "Conjunctivitis". -This is not to replace physicians, but it will help to reduce workload and wait times to see a doctor for major ailments. -This service is covered by OHIP = Ontario health card -Do not have a health card? If you don't have a valid Ontario Health Card (OHIP), Professional fees apply. -If you are booking an appointment for conjunctivitis, PLEASE TEST YOURSELF FOR COVID FIRST. This could be a sign of COVID and we do not want to assess COVID positive patients in the Pharmacy. If you test positive, please CALL the Pharmacy for further instruction. -Appointment options will be in person, virtually, over the phone. -Please note, registering for this service does not guarantee a prescription. -Your pharmacist will assess if they can prescribe a treatment option or if a referral to a physician may be necessary.
