👅Oral thrush is an infection of the mouth and throat caused by a type of fungus. 👅You may experience some of the symptoms below: - “Cottony” feeling inside your mouth with loss of taste. -White or creamy-white spots / patches on the lips, back of throat, or inside the cheeks, inside of mouth, tongue and / or the roof of the mouth -Cottage cheese-like appearance -Patches can be scraped off -Dry mouth and / or loss of taste -Sometimes it is painful to swallow or eat. -Pharmacists can now assess and prescribe medications to treat oral thrush. -This is not to replace physicians, but it will help to reduce workload and wait times to see a doctor for major ailments. -This service is covered by OHIP = Ontario health card -Do not have a health card? If you don't have a valid Ontario Health Card (OHIP), Professional fees apply. -Please book an appointment online. -Appointment options will be in person, virtually, over the phone. -Please note, registering for this service does not guarantee a prescription. -Your pharmacist will assess if they can prescribe a treatment option or if a referral to a physician may be necessary.
